Empowering Children through Music and Dance

ABOUT

About Gail’s Lil DancinPals

To introduce myself, I am Ms. Gail and this is my creative music and movement class.

We start classes from age 6 months to around age 5. For younger babies, parents will need to help participate, and for older kids they are more independent yet still want that reassurance from you. Watching your child or participating with them can make a great enjoyable experience for both of you! You are the coolest person in the world to them.

It can be almost therapeutic for adults because in classes like this you can interact with your child through movement and play and your adult body shuts down and your inner child of play emerges! Movement helps relieve tensions and stressors, adding music, toys, routine and structure it’s a win win!

Gails Lil Dancin Pals Empowers Children through Music and Dance. Classes are carefully designed playgroup tailored to each child’s developmental stage. Whether in small groups ( 5-10) or larger gatherings (up to 24), your child will thrive.

I also work with children who have intellectual disabilities, behavioral issues, and sensory needs. I provide a supportive, adaptive environment where every child can thrive at their own pace. I make accommodations to ensure that children with sensory sensitivities can participate in the activities comfortably. This group is a safe space for you not to worry about if you child is doing what other children are doing. All children will grow differently and in groups of kids of all ages, even just watching, they will learn and begin to participate.

With over 20 years of experience working with children under the age of 12 and currently finishing my psychology degree, I’ve designed this class to incorporate therapeutic techniques to support the development of essential skills in a fun, dynamic setting. While I am not a therapist, I use this experience to create a space where children can enhance their overall development in many different ways. It’s more than just play—it’s an opportunity for children to build skills that will serve them throughout their lives. The best part of my job is getting to watch your children thrive!

You are always welcome to stop by for one class, but we really recommend at least 6 weeks. “Why 6 weeks?” Well the first week or two we are learning songs, learning signs, and learning about each other. By the 3rd and 4th week kids are starting so know what to expect and breaking out of their shell. By the end of week 5 and week 6, kids who may have sat with their parents the whole time barely participating are finally comfortable enough to get up and participate.

ASL Dance

Special Deals

We integrate American Sign Language with our music and dancing. Gail Duger has completed ASL 1 and ASL 2 and is going to ASL 3 as part of her final studies this year.

You may ask why learn ASL while dancing?
In these 45-minute sessions, they are working on fine and gross motor skills, and they also engage with elements of occupational therapy (OT), physical therapy (PT), speech therapy, and even American Sign Language (ASL). Not only are they learning a new language, but they’re also developing their fine motor skills through ASL signs, which adds another layer to their growth.
